Meet Alejandrina

When I was a young girl I used to love looking at our family photo albums. I loved to see my parents and grandparents when they were young, and I often felt like I could be transported to those moments from so long ago... to the time when my Grandpa Placido was a wrestler in High School, or when my Grandma Cris was an aspiring photographer herself; to when my Tata was as tall as a horse and my Nana was still young and so full of life; to the times of happiness and celebration when my Grandpa Rosendo was a mariachi and brought so much joy to so many people, with my Grandma Fita right there beside him. I loved to see the really old and worn photos of the great-grandmothers and fathers, aunts and uncles that I had heard so many stories about. Through the photos, all of their stories seemed to become even more meaningful and vibrant. Even now, looking at photos of when my siblings and I were little brings back so many good memories and sparks the telling of stories that are too special to be forgotten.

This  is where my love of photography blossomed, and I have been learning and developing my skills ever since. Though my growth I have met so many inspiring people- mothers, fathers, children, best friends, artists, dancers, musicians, and teachers- who all have their own story to tell, and it makes me very happy to be able to help share these stories not only today, but for generations to come.

What story will we tell together?

I cannot wait to be a part of it!
